Diatoms - Amphora
Both freshwater and marine genera. Amphora ovalis is a frequently occurring freshwater species.
Two species identified -
Amphora ovalis found in diatomite deposit at Three Lakes, core TL5, at 3.6 to 3.7 m depth.
Amphora copulata or ovalis, found in peat core at Three Lakes, core TL1, at 5.95 m depth, silt.
Unidentified species found in diatomite deposit at Three Lakes, core TL5, at 3.6 to 3.7 m depth; and also core TL1 at 5.99 m, silt.
